Grading is one of the subgroup of programs of School Information System (SIS) within Ikonomikal Cloud Accounting ERP. It integrates with Ikonomikal programs. SIS is compatible with K12 standards. It is also applicable to Higher Education and Graduate Studies.

The main objective of Grading is:
 "To record the grade of each learner or student in different learning activities based on setup master file, formula, evaluation activities, components and criteria in order to come up with Student Learning Progress Report or Report Card"

The Grade Sheet is the place to record the evaluation or examination result. It is also a choice to record raw grade score or already transmuted grade. Student Report or Report Card is printable in real time. Teachers or professors need not calculate the grades because grades are always summed with average grade calculation either periodic or overall grade.

Topics related to the grading are as follows:
1. Transmutation Table
2. Grade Labels
3. Grading Component
4. Grading Period
5. Semester Grading Period
6. Printing the Student Report Card

Students’ grades will be based on the weighted raw score of the students’ summative assessments. The minimum grade needed to pass a specific learning area is 60, which is transmuted (see below)  to 75 in the report card. The lowest mark that can appear on the report card is 60 for Quarterly Grades and Final Grades.**

1. Transmutation Table
Transmutation Table is the table of scale or range of scores or initial grades of a particular evaluation activity (quiz, test, recitation, assignment, periodic exams, etc..) with equivalent designated grade called Transmuted Grade.

The table shown above with 10 rows is up to 41 rows to complete. The last or 41st row has a transmuted grade of 60 from the scale of 0 to 3.99 points.

The Transmutation Table is related and used by the Grading programs listed below:

2. Grade Labels

The image below is the General Window of Grade Labels. The purpose is to label the range or scale of the transmuted grade according to the grading policy of the school. The Letter Grade is being used as stated in the description. The Transmuted Grade will appear in the Student Report or Report Card where there is no assignment of Grade Labels.

The Letter Grades are shown in the column Label with corresponding range of transmuted grades.

The Labels could also refer to adjectives or its abbreviation applicable in the evaluation of student's character traits.

3. Grading Component

The process of evaluating the learner's progress is classified according to components. The evaluation can be done by conducting quizzes, exams, recitations, assignments or by other applicable methods. Examples of components are:
  1. Written Work
  2. Performance Tasks
  3. Quarterly Examinations

Each component may have the detailed criteria as an option.

4. Grading Period

Grading Period is the grading division within a semester. For example the grading period for K12 Elementary and Junior High School levels is as follows
1. First Quarter
2. Second Quarter
3. Third Quarter
4. Fourth Quarter
The Overall Grade will come out automatically based on formula calculated from the recorded quarters' results.

While Grading Period in K12 Senior High School,  College or University level education may have:

1. Midterm
2. Finals
Likewise, the Overall Grade will come out automatically based on formula from the recorded Midterm and Final grading period results.

Grading Period is where the subjects with similar components weight are group.

Legend of Subjects abbreviated in the image description above:

AP = Araling Panlipunan (Social Studies)

EN = English

ESP = Edukasyon sa Pagpakatao (Values Education)
F = Filipino
MT = Mother Tongue

Each Grading Period has weight of Grading Components.

For Grades 1-10
Students from Grades 1 to 10 are graded on Written Work, Performance Task, and Quarterly Assessment every quarter. These three components are given percentage weights that vary according to the nature of the learning area.**

For Grades 11-12
The grading system for Senior HIgh School (SHS) follows a different set of weights for each component depending on the track.**

5. Semester Grading Period

Semester Grading Period is basically grouping of grading periods in a semester.

Putting together all grading periods to form a coverage of a semester with subjects having similar components' weights.

Putting the subjects as a filter when Semester G.P. (Grading Period) is selected in the Grade Sheet.
